We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights over New Years. Carlo got in touch a few days beforehand to confirm our arrival time to ensure he was there to greet us on arrival. He is very easy to get in touch with and very responsive; I had a few queries about the area and he always responded within minutes. The accommodation could not be in a better location, very safe, minutes walk from the Spanish Steps and surrounded by luxury stores. The apartment was spotless, lovely shower, coffee machine, living area albeit small and very comfortable pillows - we slept like babies. Carlo has clearly thought about every detail in terms of what a guest wants out of a stay. I had noticed previous reviews regarding thin walls - they are very thin and you can hear conversations outside of the room very clearly, however I think we got lucky as we never had an issue getting to sleep. If you are a light sleeper then this might not be the right place for you. Carlo was very informative, booked a restaurant for us on New Years Eve and offered a car service to the airport although we did not avail of this. I would definitely stay here again. The accommodation is very central in what I call the luxury area due to all the luxury stores which is where we wanted to be. Great restaurants and little places for coffee all around, you can’t go wrong any where in Rome really. You need to climb 3 flights of stairs which depending on how you like stairs these can be a challenge or annoying as they are high stairs not gradual. The room is very large with a little kitchen which we brought food/breakfast items from the store. There is a second room which we used for our bags. This place is very spacious and a great place to stay.

if You are sensitive to noise, I woldn’t reccommend this accompdation. There is poor quality of walls between rooms, that You can here everything from next rooms. We could’t get any sleep thanks to that. I never experienced something like that before.

I’m sorry to writing this (and believe me, this is first time I ever write a review), but this accomodation is nothing but location. If You are sensitive to noise, You would probably have a problem to get some sleep in this accomodation. The street is busy, of course, and You can hear it, of course, but I’m writing here about the “paper walls” between the rooms. You will hear every “breath” of Your neighbors. And this I found really annoying during our trip. This made me really angry, how the owner can provide this kind of “services”. So bad. I do not recommend this accomodation and I’ m sorry, I didn’t get this kind of advise -further- before our trip- from anybody.

The guest house we stayed in at 27 Frattina in central Rome was just what we were looking for, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Our host Carlo was a true gentleman being very friendly and helpful on all aspects of our stay. He give us local knowledge of the area including places to eat and booked our taxi to the airport making sure that we just spend our time enjoying ourselves. The apartment could not have been located in a better place just minutes from the Spanish steps and Trevi fountain with an endless selection of restaurants and places of interest. The room had a small bar, a safe and the bathroom had a wonderful waterfall shower. The bed was very comfortable with soft pillows allowing for an easy and relaxing sleep. On the day we were leaving Carlo allowed us to leave our luggage at reception so that we could venture around Rome until our flight home in the evening. He provided us with a key to the guest house just in case he was not available and true to his word when we arrived back to collect our bags, Carlo was there to see us off with a taxi waiting right outside the door to bring us to the airport. A wonderful experience, a great guest house and an amazing host. Grazie mille Carlo. We highly recommend 27 Frattina and we will definitely be back. Richard & Fiona.
